Service for Two in Malawi

Dr. Jeremy Smith first experienced overseas medical practice as a fourth-year medical student, when he used some elective time to travel to Kenya for a 6-week rotation. This first trip was prompted mostly by a desire to travel and experience a different culture. Dr. Smith arranged that trip through the American Medical Student Association, which provided a list of hospitals that would accept American physicians for short periods.
